Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. Together with Scott Hammond, we celebrate the service, sacrifice, and stories of our local veterans.
Honoring every branch of service
One veteran. One community. Every month.
For ten years, Scott Hammond's State Farm has recognized a veteran of the Armed Forces on the last Friday of each month. The public is invited, and the ceremony is simple, meaningful, and short.
We say the Pledge of Allegiance, share a biography of the honoree's service and life, and invite the honoree to say a few words. They receive a framed flag, a Certificate of Recognition, and a goody bag from local supporting businesses.
About 25 neighbors typically attend, including veterans, Elks, veteran-service organizations, AmVets, motorcycle groups, family, and friends.
